SCHOOL OF INTERNATIONAL BIODESIGN - IFELLOWSHIP
General Information
Applications are invited for "iFellowship 2019 batch" at School of International Biodesign (SIB). The ifellowship programme is supported by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), New Delhi in collaboration with International Universities.
iFellowship is an Year long, interdisciplinary, team based, experiential hands-on training programme. You will join a team of brilliant medtech innovators in identifying unmet clinical needs, designing and prototyping solutions and developing business plans for implementing these technologies.
iFellowship runs at AIIMS and IIT, Delhi in partnership with Queensland University of Technology, Australia, Tottori University and Hiroshima University, Japan and other University partners from Europe and North America. Â
Duration - 1 Year
iFellowship pays a reasonable stipand, covers tuition fees, travel costs and health coverage. iFellows shall be mentored by faculty members, who are from Industry, startups, academia and Hospitals in India, Australia, USA and Japan.
Eligibility
Candidates with graduate and postgraduate degrees (in medicine, engineering, design, business) having passion and innovation and early-stage developement of medical technologies addressing the clinical needs in India are encouraged to apply.Â
Applicants must devote 11 months for the "iFelloswhip" program which involves travel to partner Universities/Institutions in Australia, USA, Japan or Europe.
Preference would be given to candidates who have demonstrated track record of innovation, frugal thinking, passion for entrepreneurship and are willing to work in a team for technology and product developement.
